Lake Chapala Baptist
Join us as we make our way through the incredible book of Daniel! Daniel did not respond to the revelation with speculation, but with repentance. He read the timeline and bowed; he saw the prophecy and confessed. Before God unfolded the future, He listened to a humble prayer. Daniel 9 reminds us that understanding God’s plans is never meant to inflate us, but to align us. The One who governs weeks and kingdoms also hears our confessions. The Messiah who would be “cut off” was not a tragic interruption, but the center of God’s measured mercy in Jesus Christ. When God reveals His purposes, our safest response is to turn our face toward Him, trust His righteousness, and rest in His mercy.

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Trudy Crippen and Mardele and Fred Harland present “Celebrating 20 Years at LCUUF” at the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Sunday, March 1, at its noon service. Which came first, 20 years ago, being a Unitarian Universalist fellowship or being a community? This service is the story of what happened when a small group of UU’s in a small town in Mexico met to share a vision.
Six people met in February of 2006, and came out of that meeting with a clear decision and direction. Their purpose, their mission, was to form a Unitarian Universalist spiritual fellowship based on their shared experience of what that meant.
Trudy Crippen and Mardele and Fred Harland were three of the founders who will share their journey, beginning in the early years, and touching on milestones along the way, as well as their hopes for the future. Others who were there in that first year will also be recognized.
The Service Associate will be Lynn Cleek.
All services of the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship are held at noon at St. Andrews Anglican Church, San Lucas 19, Riberas de Pilar. For more information: lcuuf.org.

Sunday, March 1, Pastor Carolyn Hansen will give the sermon, “Why We Preach,” from 2 Timothy 4:1-3.
We are continuing our sermon series on Worship. Sermons are not just speeches given in church—they are meant to call people to Jesus Christ. And, once called, sermons help form, challenge, and encourage God’s people. This week we explore preaching as an act of worship: teaching theology, strengthening faith, and stirring one another toward love and good works.
