The American Society of Jalisco (AMSOC) will hold its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, February 16, at 10 a.m. This year’s meeting will be conducted via Zoom, allowing members across the region to participate remotely from their homes.
The agenda for the meeting includes critical organization business, including reports from the president, secretary and treasurer, and the election of new officers. The society reminds all members that only those with fully paid membership dues for the current year are eligible to attend the virtual meeting and vote on these important matters.
Members have two clear paths to ensure their voice is heard:
Attend the Zoom meeting: To receive the virtual meeting invitation, eligible members must confirm their participation by completing the official survey. You can do this here: xxxxxxx
Assign a proxy vote: Members who cannot attend the live session must complete an official proxy form to delegate their voting rights. This is a mandatory step for non-attendees wishing to vote.
The proxy process involves specific formalities. The completed form must be printed, include original “wet” signatures from the member and two witnesses, and be returned in person to the AMSOC office. Pre-signed forms will be available at upcoming AMSOC events:
• Thursday Lunch (noon-1 p.m.)
• Super Bowl Watch Party on Sunday, February 8
• English Conversation Club on Saturdays (2-3 p.m.)
The deadline for submitting signed proxy forms is Saturday, February 14. Members are advised that the legally binding version of the form is in Spanish. This form can be accessed here: xxxxxxx
For questions, members are encouraged to contact AMSOC at 333-121-2395.
