Chapala-Guadalajara aqueduct plans revealed; is funding in doubt?

Jalisco’s government recently published the public Detailed Design for the Chapala-Guadalajara Replacement Aqueduct. The major infrastructure project requires over 10.7 billion pesos (US$620.7 million) to replace the current pipeline, ensuring the allocated flow rate of 7.5 m³/s without increasing lake withdrawal, while reducing leakage and operating costs.
