LLT stages "The Woman in Black" this weekend

Two actors, a minimalist set, and lots of gloom.  Who knew those were the components of a truly excellent play?  Evidently, Director Paul Kloegman knew this when he decided to bring The Woman in Black” to Lakeside Little Theatre.  This thriller is a strong end to LLTs 61st season.

The Woman in Black,” written by Stephen Mallatratt, played in Londons West End for more than 30 years, a testament to the quality of the story and the engaging devices of the play.

Tributes to the Sorrowful Virgin mark the last Friday of Lent

Mexico’s Easter observances go into full swing during Semana Santa (Holy Week), running this year from Palm Sunday, March 29, through Easter Sunday, April 5.  The traditional prelude to those seasonal religious activities is the tribute to La Virgen de Dolores (Our Lady of Sorrows), taking place on the last Friday of Lent, coming up on March 27.
